About Mark
A little more about Mark...
    Apprenticed in the vineyards of Napa and Sonoma Counties, Mark Bunter strives to create balanced, delicious, unique wines of interest and personality. After a lifetime in the cellars of his native state, he left dual roles as winemaker for Tulocay and assistant winemaker at St. Supéry to become the winemaker for Chrysalis Vineyards in Middleburg, Virginia.  There, he experienced new vineyards, new perspectives, new techniques, and new varieties, including hybrids and natives like Vidal Blanc and Norton. Now he's back in California with a wider perspective and new insights. 
    Candid, open-minded, and always enthusiastic, Mark has a natural gift for helping others understand both the technical and the more subjective aspects of wine production and appreciation. From the West Coast to the East Coast, Albarino to Zinfandel- if you are planting a vineyard, building a cellar, seeking a style, or troubleshooting vinification challenges, Mark is committed to helping you achieve your highest potential.
    Mark holds A.S. degrees from Napa College in both Viticulture and Winemaking.  Professional and customer references will be happily provided upon request.
